Terms of Service

These Terms govern your purchase and use of GoonerLock (the “App”), operated from the United Kingdom. By installing the App, creating an account, or buying a licence key, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older and the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the App. By using the App you confirm you meet that requirement. The App is designed for an adult audience and contains adult-themed terminology and functionality.

2. What the App Does

GoonerLock is a desktop application that helps the user voluntarily restrict their own access to specific on-screen content during a session of their choosing. It also provides optional features for consensual Dominant/submissive (“Dom/Sub”) session coordination between two paired adults.

• Sub side. The Sub app processes your screen content on your own device to detect content matching the target categories you have chosen, then draws a censor overlay over those regions on your screen. Your screen content is not uploaded to us and is not transmitted to your paired Dom or any third party.
• Dom side. The Dom app coordinates session settings — such as duration, censor preferences, and any optional features both parties have agreed to — between you and your paired Sub. The Dom app does not receive, view, or have any means of viewing the Sub’s screen.
• Optional features. Bluetooth toy control, game-performance challenges, audio packs, and similar features are opt-in. You are solely responsible for owning the hardware and the third-party accounts required to use them.

The App is a tool for self-imposed restriction and consensual, pre-paired Dom/Sub session coordination. It is not a tool for surveilling, controlling, or monitoring a person who has not explicitly consented to be paired with you.

3. Consent and Acceptable Use

By using the App you agree that:

• a. You will only use the Sub app on a device and screen that you own or are otherwise authorised to capture content from.
• b. Any Dom/Sub pairing you participate in is between consenting adults who have agreed to the session in advance.
• c. You will not use the App to coerce, deceive, surveil, or harass another person, or to circumvent another platform’s terms of service.
• d. You will not use the App for any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.

We may suspend or terminate your licence (see §10) if we have reason to believe you have breached this section.

4. Licence Key

When you purchase the App you receive a licence key.

• a. Your licence is a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
• b. Each licence locks to the first device that activates it. Bundle licences lock to one desktop slot and one Android slot. Activations cannot be transferred between devices.
• c. You will not share, resell, sublicense, or publish your licence key.
• d. You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of the App, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

5. Payments, Refunds, and Trial

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase under the conditions set out in our Refund Policy. Refund requests must be raised via a ticket in the #tickets channel of our Discord. After 14 days the licence is non-refundable.

6. Privacy

How we collect, use, and store information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App you agree to that policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its source code, models, audio assets, branding, and documentation are owned by GoonerLock and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. You receive only the limited licence described in §4.

8. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that detection or censoring will be 100% accurate. You use the App at your own discretion.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under the consumer-rights laws of your jurisdiction (including, where applicable, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the App or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

This section does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence at any time if you breach these Terms, abuse the support process, attempt to bypass the licence-key system, or engage in conduct described in §3. Termination of your licence does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law or our Refund Policy.

You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstallation does not release the licence-key/device binding described in §4.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services to function — for example, payment processing, pairing infrastructure, optional Bluetooth-toy bridges, or optional integrations with external games. These services are governed by their own terms and we are not responsible for them.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in our Discord. Continued use of the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of your country of residence if you are a consumer and applicable law gives you that right.
